Description Section (2021 Meeting)

At the Description Section business meeting, leadership will share election results and provide updates on the section’s ongoing projects including the blog, the Section’s portal of descriptive resources, and revisions to the Section’s Standing Rules. In addition, representatives from the Technical Subcommittee on Describing Archives: A Content Standard (TS-DACS) and Social Networks and Archival Context (SNAC) will provide updates on their ongoing work.

We will then host a series of lightning talks highlighting the work and perspective of other SAA sections on the topic of inclusive and reparative description, followed by Q&A.
