TS-DACS Annual Meeting, June 26 (via Webex)

  • 1.  TS-DACS Annual Meeting, June 26 (via Webex)

    Posted Jun 12, 2023 04:46 PM

Please join the Technical Subcommittee on Describing Archives: A Content Standard (TS-DACS) for our annual business meeting on Monday, June 26, 2023 from 12-1:30 PM (EST). This meeting will be held via Webex. Please remember to register for the event through the SAA Connect event site.

There is no cost to attend the session and it is open to all; SAA membership is not required.

The annual meeting will include updates from TS-DACS on a variety of work, including TS-DACS educational videos, liaison work with RiC, and the ongoing project to revise DACS to bring the body of DACS into alignment with the revised Statement of Principles.

There will also be a discussion including all attendees on "managing description in time," during which attendees will be invited to contribute to a shared document and to voice (or Webex chat) their opinions on how we document the ways in which description changes over time, our actions on collections over time, and the ways in which DACS does and doesn't allow for or support this work.
