Hosted by the Committee on Research, Data, and Assessment (CORDA), this two-part interactive workshop series will introduce the fundamentals of quantitative data analysis with Excel using the recently released A*CENSUS II data. The series will take participants through the full process from understanding and organizing data to showcasing their analysis to highlight key insights.
The first part on July 11 will focus on understanding the data, exploring Excel's functionality, and executing common statistical analyses. In preparation for the second workshop, participants will be given exercises to cement and enhance their understanding of the material. In the second part will be held as a hybrid event during the CoSA + SAA Joint Annual Meeting on Saturday, July 29 (Annual Meeting registration required) participants will use their analysis to create visually appealing dashboards to showcase significant data insights. At the conclusion of the second workshop, all participants should feel confident in using Excel with their own data to discover and communicate meaningful insights to colleagues and other sponsors.
