A pre-conference workshop will be offered on Thursday, April 6: Intro to VHS transfers: Signal Flow from Analog to Digital with BAVC Media.
The theme of this year's program is "History by the People". On Friday and Saturday, fourteen sessions and eight posters will provide the opportunity to learn about community archive projects, reparative description, labor issues, digitization, a Q&A session with the State Archivist, and more.
Attendees will be treated to a plenary address on Friday by William Bauer, co-author of We Are the Land: A History of Native California. Our Awards Luncheon speaker this year will be Lorena Márquez, Project Director of Sacramento Movimiento Chicano and Mexican American Education Oral History Project.
