The SAA Standards Committee invites sections, committees, and other interested component groups to a Component Group Leaders Meeting on January 14, 2026 from 12 to 1 pm (EST). Based on feedback from sections and committees responsible for standards creation and maintenance, the SAA Standard Committee invites you to learn more about the process for creating and revising standards.
During the webinar members of the Standards Committee will review the following:

How to get started with a review team and creating an initial proposal

Call for comments and revision drafts

Workflows between groups, Standards Committee, and SAA Council

Publicizing and advocating for a revised standard
