Dear all:
Would you like to help shape the direction of the Collection Management Section and connect with fellow archivists and cultural heritage workers who share your interest in collection management systems, tools, and techniques? The Collection Management Section is accepting nominations for its Steering Committee!
We are currently accepting nominations for the following positions:
- One Vice-chair/Chair-Elect (2 year commitment; one year as vice-chair, one year as chair
- Two Steering Committee Members (2 year commitment)
For more information about these roles and the section as a whole, please check out the Collection Management Section microsite. Regarding the time commitment, we generally have monthly meetings with occasional work to do between meetings, and a pause in the summer after the section's Annual Meeting. Attending the Annual Meeting is not required.
If interested, please submit a brief biography and candidate statement (1-2 paragraphs each) describing your interest in serving in one of these positions by Monday, May 29th, end of day. Nominations should be submitted to Rita Johnston, Chair, Collection Management Section, at ritajohnston@miami.edu.
