    The Performing Arts Section is seeking nominations (including self-nominations) for one open Steering Committee Member position:

    • Co-chair (2 year commitment, will become the Chair during year 2 of term)

      • The responsibilities of the Co-chair include contributing to writing the welcome letter for the section's newsletter, initiating planning of the annual section meeting, facilitating steering committee meetings in the absence of the Chair, planning section programming, delegating responsibilities for updating and maintaining the section's website, and other special projects that may arise.

    In the 2025-2026 year, the Section will focus on reactivating our section newsletter, continuing outreach efforts and programming, and pursuing collaborations with other SAA sections.

    The Steering Committee meets virtually once a month and hosts virtual "Meet and Greet" programs every 1-2 months, in addition to the annual business meeting. You need to be a member of SAA to serve, but attendance at the Annual Meeting is not required.

    Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. Please send in your nominations via this form by Friday May 23, 2025.
