    Good morning, colleagues!

The Archives Management Section and Student and New Archival Professionals Section are partnering to offer a panel discussion about starting as an archival manager on Thurs., July 18 @ 1:00 CT. How to attain and be successful in an archival management role is a topic that isn't discussed enough, so we welcome you to join us in learning from a panel of colleagues representing a range of archival institutions and levels of management:
    • Katie McCormick, Associate Dean of Libraries for Special Collections, Florida State University
    • Dara Baker, Chief, Library Services Unit, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
    • Lauren Gottlieb-Miller, Assoc Dean for Special Libraries and Preservation, University of Houston
    • Derek Mosley, Archives Division Manager, Auburn Avenue Research Library on African American Culture and History
They will discuss topics relating to the path to management, settling into a new role, and navigating common challenges that arise as a new manager. We welcome you to make this panel more relevant to you by anonymously contributing questions and topics in advance of the panel
Registration to attend the event is now open! Please contact Ashley Todd-Diaz, chair of the Archives Management Section, at atodddiaz@towson.edu or Elias Larralde, chair of SNAP, at egl22@arizona.edu with any questions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
