Although the position is listed as "Historian" in the federal employment classification system, NHPRC is seeking applicants with archival training and experience, and demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of State Historical Records Advisory Board regrant activities. The incumbent will play an important role in helping the Commission to envision the future of the State Programs area, and how the NHPRC can better understand and respond to the essential needs of small and underserved, under-resourced archival institutions and repositories. Applicants with knowledge and experience that can help the Commission to advance the strategic goal to "Foster a greater diversity of voices in telling the American story through historical records collections," are especially encouraged to apply.
