Please consider volunteering to support the silent auction if you will be at the SAA Annual Meeting in person! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer so far, AND to all who have donated items to the auction!
The Preservation Section still needs some volunteer help to staff the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA) Silent Auction. The silent auction will be held in-person on Thursday, July 27th and Friday, July 28th at ARCHIVES*RECORDS 2023 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.
Please visit our signup page to review the available time slots and click on the button to sign up for one slot (or more). Differing slightly depending on your timing, volunteer responsibilities include helping to set up the auction items (opening shifts only), helping to keep the tables of items and bid sheets neat and clear, answering questions, promoting the auction on social media, and helping to contact winners and check their donations when distributing their items (on Friday afternoon only). It can be a fun way to engage with other conference attendees!
We will be in touch by email in advance of the conference with a final volunteer schedule and basic instructions for everyone who signs up. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in DC!
