We invite nominations and self-nominations for:
· Junior Co-Chair (2 year term)
· 3 Steering Committee members (2 year term)
· Newsletter Editor (2 year term)
We welcome nominations from all career stages, including students and early-career archivists. Candidates must be current SAA members, but attendance at the annual meeting is not required.

What's involved?
The AAC Section advocates for and celebrates archivists and archives of color throughout SAA and the profession. The steering committee will:
· Prepare the contents of the Section's annual meeting
· Make recommendations to Council
· Participate in creating reports and other documentation to move the work of the section forward
· Share announcements and resources to the listserv, microsite, and social media
· Organize virtual events, such as informal meetings to build community among archivists of color and panel discussions
The time commitment would involve 1-hour monthly meetings with the steering committee, plus some offline work, but this will ultimately be determined by the committee's capacity and interest.
