The Kohler Art Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a dynamic and innovative Instruction and Outreach Art Librarian. Reporting to the Head of the Art Library, this position plays an essential role in supporting the teaching, learning, and research needs of the university's Departments of Art, Art History, and Design Studies.
The successful candidate will develop, coordinate, and deliver information literacy and research skills instruction and spearhead outreach initiatives to engage the campus community and beyond with the library's rich collections and services. Instruction will frequently incorporate various collections of distinction, including artists' books, sketchbook facsimiles, and photo books.
As a branch library within the UW-Madison Libraries system, the Kohler Art Library serves as a vital resource for the campus arts community. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting the Art Library and UW Libraries to foster connections and initiate collaborations across campus, including partnerships with the Division of the Arts and other arts-related programs and organizations. The position will collaborate and work closely with other library outreach, instruction, and research staff.
