The Collections Care & Conservation Alliance presents

Planning and Implementing Successful Collections Assessments (webinar)

    Tuesday, June 6, 2023

    2:00-3:30 PM

Do you need professional advice for caring for your museum, archives, or library collections? Are you wondering what exactly is included in a collections assessment, how to go about getting one, and how to pay for it? Have you received an assessment report and aren't sure where to go from here? Are you a potential assessor wondering how the process works? This webinar will cover the purpose of collections assessments, expectations for assessors and host organizations, possible funding sources, and implementation strategies. We'll hear from two assessors and a representative of a cultural heritage organization, who will discuss both theory and practice in the real world.

    Presented by

    • Eileen Corcoran, Director of Service & Outreach, Vermont Historical Society
    • Erica Donnis, Archivist and Independent Collections Consultant
    • Chessie Monks-Kelly, Archivist/Curator at Historic Saranac Lake, New York

We will follow up this event with a virtual Conversation with Colleagues on Tuesday, June 13th at 12:00pm. All those who register for the webinar are invited to attend.

Pre-registration is required and a Zoom link for the meeting will be sent to you closer to the meeting date. Space in the workshop is limited to 100 participants. Please register by Monday June 5th.
