    The SAA Foundation Board of Directors invites applications from individuals interested in volunteering as a committee members or as Emerging Professionals on various SAA Foundation committees!  These positions will serve alongside SAA Foundation Board Directors assigned to the committees. 
    Committee  Open positions 
    • (2) open Committee Member positions. 
    • 2-year term, August 2025 to September 1, 2027. 
      
    • (1) open Committee Member position. 
    • 2-year term, August 2025 to September 1, 2027. 
      
    • (2) open Committee Member positions. 
    • 3-year term, August 2025 to September 1, 2028.  
    Emerging Professionals Open positions 
    The Emerging Professional positions on these committees are intended to build skills and knowledge in working collaboratively to advance the mission and goals of an organization like the SAA Foundation. The positions are open to those who are students, new to the field, or early career-ex officio, with vote.   
    • (1) open Emerging Professional position 
    • 1-year term, August 2025 to September 1, 2026; may apply for a second year but is not required.
    • (1) open Emerging Professional position 
    • 1-year term, August 2025 to September 1, 2026; may be renewed for a second year but is not required
    Volunteer now for a position on a SAA Foundation committee! 
    Deadline: February 28, 2025
    TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE SAA FOUNDATION  
    • Complete and submit the self-nomination form by February 28, 2025 (CST). You may save changes and return to this form.
    • SAA membership is not required for a position on the SAA Foundation Board of Directors or its component committees.
    • The experiences and skills necessary for these positions may differ significantly from those required for other SAA leadership appointments. 

    The SAA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise funds to provide resources to enhance the work of the archives community. The Foundation's sole corporate member is the Society of American Archivists. The Board's Governance Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Board for final approval.
