Nominate yourself or a colleague to become a member of the OHS Steering Committee. All dues-paying members of SAA, particularly students and early-career SAA members, are encouraged to apply.
OHS is always seeking new ideas to support section members. Recently, we have focused on programming events and collaborating with other SAA sections and aligned organizations. Want to see more or different kinds of initiatives? Bring your ideas and your energy to OHS!
The following positions are open on the OHS Steering Committee:
- Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect (3-year commitment, as Vice-Chair, Chair, and Past Chair)
Serves as acting chai4 in the absence of the chair, organizes and leads the annual business meeting, sets the agenda of the Steering Committee, and participates as a member of the Steering Committee in all its activities. This is an officer-level position. Expect approximately 2-4 hours of work per month.
- Steering Committee Member (2-year commitment)
Assists the Committee in setting and completing the Section's work. Expect approximately 1-2 hours of work per month.
