Call for nominees
Hello fellow Independent Archivists!
Are you looking for a way to give back to the SAA? Do you want to effect change from within? Don’t have a lot of time to spend but want to participate on the national level? The Independent Archivists Steering Committee is looking for you!
We are looking for people to run for
Vice Chair/Chair elect:

3-year term; one year as vice chair, one as chair, and one as immediate past chair
-
Take point on running meetings, liaise with SAA on behalf of the group
Two members-at-large:
-
Two members-at-large, 3-year term (though end of term 2028)

As needed, assist chairs in planning section events, activities, and other section business.
The steering committee meets by phone or videoconference and emails between meetings. Your overall time commitment averages less than an hour a month. Joining our committee is a great way to dip your toe in the water of archival leadership!
Attendance at the annual meeting is NOT a requirement.
