    I'm excited to share that the Department of Information, Library, and Research Sciences at UNC Greensboro is currently hiring an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) position. Find details about the position below, and feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

    The Department of Information, Library, & Research Sciences (ILRS) at the UNC Greensboro School of Education invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 1, 2026. This position is a 9-month appointment on the main Greensboro campus with promotion and tenure possibilities. Tenure-track faculty members have responsibilities in three areas: teaching, research, and service. Salary is $73,000-$76,000, commensurate with qualifications.

    The Department of Information, Library, & Research Sciences (ILRS) offers Bachelors, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees at the intersecting areas of information, library, and research & evaluation sciences, including a Master's of Library & Information Science degree accredited by the American Library Association. According to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report, the MLIS program is ranked #2 in North Carolina and #22 across the United States.
    Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
    We offer a fully online, synchronous Master of Library & Information Science degree, as well as a variety of in-person and hybrid programs.
