Join SAA's Accessioning, Appraisal & Acquisition section for a conversation around moving into management. Whether it is in our title or not, we are all managers of our time, our projects, and our relationships with colleagues. However, at some point in our careers, management may become an official part of our duties. Making the transition, while rewarding, is full of challenges and new learning. In this moderated panel, Eve Neiger, Lead Archivist, Boston Public Library; Sarah Patton, Archivist, Nevada Historical Society; and Katie Rojas, Head of Technical Services, University of Virginia, Albert and Shirley Small Special Collections Library, will discuss their transitions into leadership and discuss their experiences as a new manager and/or with a new type of management. Rose Oliveira-Abbey, AA&A outgoing Steering Committee member, will moderate the discussion with time for audience questions.
