HEAD LIBRARIAN / DIGITAL ARCHIVIST
The Chattanooga Public Library is seeking an experienced Digital Archivist to manage the expansion of our digital offerings and lead the Local History and Genealogy department.
The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in developing a strategy for serving the public, with at least four (4) years of experience at the supervisory level. Will be responsible for establishing new and refining existing practices in identifying, organizing and providing access to the digital and physical aspects of our collections. Will collaborate with both internal and external partners to describe and communicate the use and scope of digital content to staff and the public.
ALA-accredited MLIS is preferred. Master's degree in related field or other combination of education and experience in archives or cultural heritage organizations will be considered. A minimum of two (2) years of experience with digital curation projects in libraries, museums or similar institutions is required.
