Archivists & Archives of Color Section (2023 Meeting)

DESCRIPTION

AAC section leaders will present an overview of their work in the past year. This will be followed by a panel presentation titled, "Professional Impact and Sustainability as Trans and Gender Diverse Archivists of Color." Speakers include members of the Trans Metadata Collective (Kalani Adolpho, Jackson Huang, and Adrian Williams). They will discuss their experiences creating and reviewing guidelines for Metadata Best Practices for Trans and Gender Diverse Resources, and navigating leadership, professional goals, burnout, and community-building, as archivists of color.
