SAA Technical Subcomm on Encoded Archival Standards + EAS Section (2022 Meeting)

DESCRIPTION
The Society of American Archivists Encoded Archival Standards (EAS) Section and the Technical Subcommittee on Encoded Archival Standards (TS-EAS) will hold a joint meeting in conjunction with the 2022 SAA Annual Meeting. The meeting will begin with updates and announcements from EAS Section and TS-EAS group leaders, the SAA Council, and the Building a National Finding Aid Network (NAFAN) project. Following announcements, EAS and TS-EAS will hold a moderated panel and discussion on encoded archival standards in the context of aggregators of archival description (e.g., Archives Portal Europe, Online Archive of California, Archives Hub, ArchiveGrid, etc.) both within and outside of the United States. Panel participants will include representatives and maintainers of archival aggregation sites as well as users and contributors. Participation in the discussion on archival aggregators will also be open to all meeting attendees.
