DESCRIPTIONCome join the CDTRWG as we test-drive a new 50 minute lecture on "Collecting and Documenting Crisis, Disaster and Trauma" that the working group has created to introduce participants to the principles, challenges, and strategies of collecting and documenting archives in times of crisis. It will focus on the importance of importance of sensitive, inclusive, and ethical practices in response to crises such as mass violence events, natural disasters, accidents, social unrest, and global pandemics. The lecture will be structured about the questions of Why, When, Who, What, How and Impact of collecting/documentation and draw on the resources and recommendations outlined in SAA's Documenting in Times of Crisis: A Resource Kit, as well as other cases of crisis collecting internationally.
