Would you like to learn how the SAA Preservation Section puts together its annual National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA) Silent Auction? Can you contribute a few hours between now and the SAA Annual Meeting to help us plan the most successful NDRFA Silent Auction ever?

The Preservation Section's NDRFA Silent Auction Committee is looking for a few new members. We need both remote help and committee members who can assist in person during the Annual Meeting, August 14-17, 2024, in Chicago. You don't have to be a Preservation Section member to serve on the committee.

The NDRFA provides grants that support the recovery of archival collections from major disasters, regardless of region or repository type. In 2015 the SAA Preservation Section started a tradition of raising funds for the NDRFA through an annual Silent Auction featuring generous donations from colleagues across the country who donate items for the auction, place bids during the meeting, and help spread the word. Last year's auction raised $4,440! Learn more about the NDRFA here.
