Why join a Preservation Section committee?

It's a great way to give back to the professional community;

An opportunity to network with colleagues across the country (make new friends!);

And a chance to learn about and promote preservation resources.
We are seeking volunteers for four committees:

Education Committee: This committee helps identify education needs of the membership and makes recommendations for learning opportunities.
- Time Frame for Involvement: Sporadically throughout the year
• National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA) Committee--this committee helps raise money for the NDRFA and educates the membership regarding the fund.
- Time Frame for Involvement: Primarily early spring
• Outreach/Communications Committee: This committee maintains our social media presence and helps spread the word among members about our work and topics of preservation interest.
- Time Frame for Involvement: Sporadically throughout the year
•
Program Committee: This committee works with the Steering Committee to develop the program during the Preservation Section business meeting.
- Time Frame for Involvement: Primarily early spring
