    Good morning,

Yesterday, LSU President Tate highlighted the Virtual Footlocker Project as part of his "Working for Louisiana" series, which focuses on how LSU research impacts Louisianians. Click the link below to read the whole story.

Preserving Mementos of War and Service: LSU Virtual Footlocker Project Helps Soldiers, Archivists Save Military Memorabilia

Over the past six years, my research team and I have been working with veterans to develop solutions for capturing & preserving their personal military records. We are excited to announce a significant milestone in our project with the official launching of online curricula on our website: https://www.virtualfootlocker.com/.

The website includes online training for active-duty military and veterans interested in learning how to preserve their records. We also created a curriculum for archivists and other cultural heritage professionals who work with or would like to work with veterans.

Both sets of training are entirely free and available on the website. We will also be holding in-person and zoom-based training over the upcoming months.

Please share this with anyone who you think may benefit from the information.
