    The Oregon Health & Science University Library invites you to attend the following program: 

     

    Virtual Curator's Talk: Early Medicine Manufacturers in America 

     

    Wednesday February 7th 12:00pm-12:30pm (Pacific)

    Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of patent medicine! A companion to the exhibit "There's a Cure for That: Historic Medicines and Cure-alls in America", this talk will delve into the origin of consumer medicine and the unregulated environment in which they were produced. Exhibit curator Maria Cunningham will highlight notable artifacts from the exhibit and demonstrate how their manufacturers shaped the consumer drug industry in America. This event is free and open to the public.  

     

    About the presenter: Maria Cunningham is the Director of Special Collections for the OHSU Library's Historical Collections & Archives.
