    Dear all,

Mark your calendars for the next presentation in our UX Practitioner Conversation Series. Are you interested in learning more about your researchers? Are you curious about exploratory research and how it might be applicable to archival contexts? Or are you new to UX and interested in learning more? We hope you'll join us on Friday, April 17 at 1 PM EDT/12 PM CDT/10 AM PDT  for a conversation with Meg McMahon, User Experience Researcher at Harvard Library.

    To register, go to: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/ZspE5AI8QsKrp1mxN_9wJg#/registration

Our second offering in the UX Practitioner Conversation Series will feature a discussion of special collections exploratory research, following a presentation by Meg McMahon. Building on our first session from early March that provided a more general overview into user experience research, Meg will discuss Harvard’s UX & Discovery team’s exploratory research in support of Harvard Library’s goal to simplify and enhance online special collections discovery. Exploratory research refers to research designed to understand under-researched topics, clarify vague problems, or gain insights to guide future, more structured studies. The team used a multi-method approach. In the presentation, Meg will describe the prep for this research and share insights from the team’s findings.

Following the presentation, we will move into group discussion with Meg, moderated by members of the UX Section Steering Committee. We’d love for this to be an informal conversation, and have started a shared document for questions both in advance of and during the meeting: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19aeizepTF88Vs0Bokt53K92rUWLOZj2kjhyFKI64b2g/edit?usp=sharing. Please add any questions you might have, and we look forward to seeing you there!

    Best,

    Betts Coup

    Member-at-Large, UX Section Steering Committee
