Hi All,
As part of its annual meeting, the SAA Standards Committee will be holding a webinar
There's a Standard for That
on May 14th from 12pm-1:30pm ET. In a series of 3-4 minute lightning talks, presenters will cover the following information about an SAA maintained or endorsed standard:
Purpose of the standard
Why is it important
Here's how I use it/use case
Who is this standard for
Updates (if applicable)
A registration link will be sent out closer to the event and it will be recorded and posted to the SAA Youtube channel.
We already have presenters for more than 15 standards, but are looking for volunteers for the following standards:
ACRL/RBMS-SAA Guidelines on Access to Research Materials in Archives and Special Collections Libraries
ACRL/RBMS Guidelines for Interlibrary and Exhibition Loan of Special Collections Materials
Archival Accessioning Best Practices
Best Practices for Internships as a Component of Graduate Archival Education
Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Software Preservation
Guidelines for Archival Continuing Education
Guidelines for Evaluation of Archival Institutions
Guidelines for a Graduate Program in Archival Studies
ISO 16363:2012--Space Data and Information Transfer Systems--Audit and Certification of Trustworthy Digital Repositories
Orphan Works: Statement of Best Practices
Protocols for Native American Archival Materials
Well-intentioned Practice for Putting Digitized Collections of Unpublished Materials Online (W-iP)
