From the Committee on Public Policy
Representative John Larson of Connecticut is currently circulating a "Dear Colleague" letter in the US House in support of robust funding for the National Archives and Records Administration. "Dear Colleague" letters are an instrumental part of the annual appropriations process and gathering signatures signals to the Appropriations Committee that the subject of the letter is valued by Representatives across the House.
ACT TODAY! The deadline to gather signatures on this letter is Tuesday, March 10. Please contact your Representative today (find your Representative) and tell them that you would like for them to sign on to the "Dear Colleague" letter in support of the National Archives and Records Administration in FY27. You can tell your Representative's staff to contact Collin Duran in Representative Larson's office for more information.
This letter is only for the House at this time. Archives and Humanities advocates are actively working on a "Dear Colleague" letter for the Senate.
