Dear colleagues,
We are a faculty/graduate student research team from Simmons University School of Library and Information Science. We would like to invite you to consider participating in an online survey called "Between the Stacks and the Statehouses: Archivists Perceptions of Legislation and the Workplace." The purpose of our study is to determine how archivists perceive state legislation, particularly legislation dealing with issues of intellectual freedom, and how they conceptualize the potential impact(s) of this legislation on the day-to-day work of archivists in the United States. We also hope to learn more about archivists' sense of professional identity and community in the current political climate.
Anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as an archivist is eligible to participate. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer approximately 15 questions, which should take 15-20 minutes to complete. The informed consent document and survey are available at https://forms.gle/fFzE9Pgh3cSu9dKd8.
Thank you if you have already completed the survey! The survey will be live for an additional 10 days, closing at the end of the day on Friday April 5, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact the Principal Investigator, Katherine Wisser, at wisser@simmons.edu.
We thank you in advance for your participation!
Best,
