Hi everyone! I know we're all busy getting ready for the Annual Meeting, but I'm sharing this on behalf of my library colleague Courtney Block if anyone has a spooky story from an archives. :)
"I am a librarian at Indiana University Southeast. I'm currently working on a book, Inside the World's Haunted Libraries. I am specifically hoping to capture personal stories and experiences from library workers who have experienced strange or paranormal events in libraries of any type.
My goal is to highlight the experiences of library workers that may not be recorded anywhere else. If anyone does have stories, they can choose to remain anonymous or have their name included in the book. I created a brief Google form that lets people share their stories and contact info.
I realize this might be a bit of a strange inquiry, ha! If you'd like to submit an experience, it would be great to receive it by October 1, 2024 🙂
