The Southeastern Archives Association and the Society of Georgia Archives are hosting a virtual summer symposium, "Navigating the Pitfalls and Possibilities of Contested Collections," on June 23, 2023, from 10:00-12:30 EDT. The program will feature three presentations that focus on the challenges and opportunities of working with collections that document violence and oppression and resistance to that oppression. The presentations will provide insight into archivists' struggles and lessons learned while working with contested collections.
