We need your help! There are 14 people currently looking for mentors, some of whom have been waiting since January 2026 for a suitable match.

-

Whether you've been an archivist for your whole career, or just a few years, chances are we can match you with someone who would benefit from your experiences. Some of our colleagues waiting for mentors are just getting started in the profession and are looking for advice on schools, classes, career trajectory, resume development and interviewing skills. For inspiration and insight into what a mentoring partnership looks like, we encourage you to read the posts on the SAA Membership Blog written by mentoring partners to learn how a relatively small commitment can make a big difference for a colleague's growth. We also invite you to read the Archival Outlook spotlight on the Mentoring Program written by Lexy Degraffenreid, chair of the SAA Membership Committee.
Please consider signing up to be a mentor by submitting this application (click on "Apply to be a mentor").
Thank you for your consideration,
Benjamin Eskin Shapson
