We will begin reading on November 1st, but feel free to join the discussion on Fable anytime or add other books to the Google Sheet. We are also hoping to set up our first virtual chat in the coming months to discuss our first few books.
For those interested in the book club, I have set up a Fable Book Club (an app for online book discussions). The Club is titled SAA Member Book Club if you want to join it through the website, or I have added a link to the club below to connect on the Fable app.
Fable Book Club
Fable allows discussion for each chapter of the book as well as a final reflection. As we start getting this book club running, the tools and discussion formats may change, but I think Fable is a great way to allow members who may not have the time to commit to a full book reading to still be able to participate in discussions.
I have also set up a Google Sheet for members to add books they think would be informative to read. It is fairly simple: Title, Authors, Publication Date, and a Link to Purchase. When you go to add a book, please be careful not to remove anything you didn't add, and also check to see if the book you are adding is already in there.
