  • 1.  SAA Council Approves Best Practices for Archival Term Position, Next Steps for Section Health Assessment Working Group

    At its July 26, 2023, hybrid meeting in Washington, DC, the SAA Council: 

    • Approved the recommendation to adopt the Research and Innovation Roadmap version 1.4. (IV.A)
    • Approved the Best Practices for Archival Term Position as an SAA external standard (IV.B.1)
    • Approved the revisions to the College and University Archives Section guidelines; the last updates were in 1999. (IV.B.2)
    • Approved the Council liaison's recommendations on the disposition of the sections and next steps of the Section Health Assessment Working Group. (IV.C)
    • Approved minutes for the May 2023 Council meeting, now available on the SAA website here. (II.C.)
    • Reviewed and discussed FY23 mid-point financials (July 2022–January 2023)
