    Please excuse any cross-postings.

    To address the preservation needs of high priority collections, the Smithsonian Libraries and Archives (SLA) requires professional, non-personal, work-for-hire conservation services to assist in the preventive care and treatment of select archival collections. These collections contain paper, photographic, glass and metal substrates, and bound materials, which will require different levels of stabilization and treatment. The contractor shall conduct assessments, perform preventive and interventive treatments, and produce documentation, in accordance with SLA guidelines. It is anticipated that this work will be completed over the course of 4,000 hours.

    NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the U.S. Government SAM (System of Award Management) System before starting the contract. Please allow time for SAM application processing if you are new to government contracting.
