This is a reminder that the SAA Performing Arts Section will be hosting our third Meet & Greet for 2025/2026 on Thursday, February 5, 2026 @ 2:00PM EST / 11:00AM PST.
Our guests will be Brian Meacham & Archer Neilson of the Yale Film Archive. They will speak about the ongoing transformation and expansion of the Yale Film Archive, focusing on the collection, acquisitions, preservation, and teaching, as well as public programming and collaboration with other cultural organizations.
Brian is the Managing Archivist, where he has worked since 2013, and oversees acquisition, inspection, cataloging, and preservation of the film collection, which includes more than 8,000 print and pre-print elements acquired by the university over the last 55 years. Archer is the Film Programmer and Selector of Circulating Media, where she has worked since 2012, and her programming emphasis is collaborative projects with archives, museums, and other cultural institutions, and her work has been seen throughout the United States and in the UK, Mexico, India, and the Netherlands.
