SAA-IAAS Archival Landscapes Seminar Series
Archival Landscapes is a virtual seminar series of the International Archival Affairs Section of the Society of American Archivists. In each seminar, an international guest speaker introduces participants to the issues and advancements in their local context, describing the history, operating environment and unique aspects of archival practice in their country.
Summer seminar: ASIA
Guest speaker: Joo Yeon Kim, Curator and leader of the economic record team for the National Archives of Korea
Date and time: Thursday, May 16, 2024, 1-2pm Eastern Daylight Time
About the Program: Joo Yeon Kim will explain the current status of records management work of the National Archives of Korea. She will also discuss trends in records management in Korea generally. We are delighted to welcome her interpreter, who will translate the presentation from Korean to English. In addition, captioning and ASL interpreting services will be provided by Access Resource. This is through support from component funding from SAA, approved by Council, and we are most grateful.
