Presenter: Andrew Thomas, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Andrew Thomas has worked in the field of Audiovisual Conservation/Preservation for over 20 years. He enjoys all things audiovisual related, along with building and playing musical instruments. The idea of helping to preserve audio, video, and film so they can be available for people to enjoy in the present and in the future is the main reason he enjoys working in this field. Currently, he provides audiovisual conservation and preservation for the Church History Library located in Salt Lake City, Utah. He works with everything from phonograph wax cylinders to digital-born AV files and all types of other formats in between. He resides in Kaysville Utah, with his wife, Liza, and their three children, Gibson, Abigail, and Benjamin. In his spare time (which he has little of), he can be found playing guitars, recording music, and trying to learn any cool instruments he can get his hands on… but usually he and his wife are busy trying to keep up with their young kids.
