    Dear colleagues,

Is anyone aware of any Palestinian community archives (see description below)? If so, please add to my list of known collections by clicking the Google Forms link below. The results of this survey will be shared at Archives * Records 2022 this summer. Also, if you know of or are a member of any organizations where the survey could be distributed I would greatly appreciate your help distributing!

To address the challenges of traditional, institutional approaches to Palestinian records I am researching the development of Palestinian community archives. These non-traditional archives are created by Palestinians (or the Palestinian community plays an active role in its collection, appraisal, or curation) and usually contain digital content on a variety of topics (music, daily life, history, culture, genealogy, geography, religion, etc.) within a Palestinian context.

These types of collections are important for the preservation and ongoing documentation of Palestinian identity, culture, and history. They also present an interesting solution to many of the challenges of existing collections such as description, access, and fragmentation.

Feel free to reach out with questions, interest in collaboration, or access to results - lldaly1@crimson.ua.edu.

    Appreciatively,
