In "Unraveling the Many-to-One Dilemma in Archival Arrangement," Layne Carpenter and Bodeene Amyot Cairdeas of the James Madison University Libraries outline options for tackling audiovisual arrangement and description of a single intellectual "thing" (i.e., a conference recording) across multiple physical carriers (i.e., several videocassettes).
