In "The Pete Welding Collection Finding Aid," American Folklife Center archivists Farrah Cundiff and Marcia K. Segal discuss the multi-step process of creating a finding aid for the Pete Welding collection of jazz and blues history. They outline the many steps taken by AFC staff, interns, and volunteers to inventory, digitize, log, and encode the collection's sound recordings, incorporating their item detailed description into the finding aid.
