Descriptive Notes is the blog of SAA's Description Section. We are currently soliciting posts for an upcoming series on Remote Labor. This is a partner series to our 2021 Remote Description series, which featured posts related to pandemic-related remote descriptive work and adaptations. Topics can include:
--Do you work a remote or hybrid schedule? How does working remotely full- or part-time affect your descriptive work?
--Do you work with off-site vendors? How do you describe collections or projects to them, and do your vendors do any descriptive work?
--If your repository has completed or is undergoing a collections move or space renovation, how did/do you adapt to archival descriptive work while not in your usual space?
--Did your repository change its role responsibilities and labor practices due to remote or hybrid work options? How are processing projects organized and labor distributed in a telework-friendly environment?
--Do you have any remotely-completed projects that you or your team are particularly proud of and would like the opportunity to highlight?
