In the latest entry in the Intergenerational Conversations series, Selena Ortega-Chiolero (Chickaloon Village Traditional Council) reviews John Fleckner's article "Archives and Museums" from The Midwestern Archivist 15, no 2. She reads the article from a community-centric, Indigenous perspective, parsing changes in the profession since the article was first published and looking for places where Fleckner's analysis could be expanded. Ortega-Chiolero writes, "...I see many parallels between Fleckner's recommendations and practices often applied in what we now consider to be community-centric collections where decisions are driven by community voices, for community voices." Read the full review and check out the other great pieces on the Reviews Portal.
