August 4th at 1 pm CDT / 2 pm EDT
for our annual business meeting followed by discussions on hiring and managing student workers, practicum students, and interns. We are collecting questions and discussion suggestions on this topic and would love to hear from you:
https://uark.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bNojUyrmVBuY0qW
.
Discussion topics may include: advocating for the additional support you need, job advertising and finding student workers, what to include in the job description, navigating administrative duties in hiring and onboarding, developing work projects, giving feedback and managing performance, and the unique needs of different student workers (undergraduates, graduate MLIS, graduate non-MLIS, interns, etc.)
The meeting will
not
be recorded but we will provide access to a shared notes document for reference and for those who are unable to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!
