The SAA Preservation Section is proud to announce another successful Silent Auction, thanks to the generous donations and bids from SAA members and other Annual Meeting attendees. This year, the auction and the archivist-themed enamel pins donations raised $4,383 for the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives (NDRFA)!

The National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives was established in 2005 after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and is used to support the recovery of archival collections from major disasters, regardless of region or repository type. For more information on the NDRFA, please visit: https://www2.archivists.org/groups/saa-foundation-board-of-directors/national-disaster-recovery-fund-for-archives.

Thank you so much to all the generous folks who donated fantastic items to the auction, placed bids in Chicago, and helped spread the word. We are grateful that folks always share that the auction is a highlight of their conference experience! A special thank you to all our auction table volunteers, to the SAA Foundation, and to the whole SAA staff for helping the Preservation Section make the auction a success.

If you would like to help your colleagues by contributing to the National Disaster Recovery Fund for Archives, you can donate directly by visiting the SAA Foundation Online Donation Form.

See you next year in Anaheim!

    With gratitude,

The NDRFA Silent Auction Committee and the Preservation Section
