Mark Morris Dance Group Digital Archive

    The Mark Morris Dance Group Digital Archive -- an online catalog dedicated to the preservation of Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) works, performances, performers, and related media -- is now accessible through Mark Morris Digital and features the addition of curated digital exhibitions, with plans to update these media galleries throughout the year. 

    In addition to the curation and launch of these online exhibitions, the Mark Morris Dance Group Digital Archive will continue to catalog and preserve new works created by Morris; enhance descriptive metadata through regular work with content specialists; and produce virtual and in-person programming. The Mark Morris Dance Group Archive has been arranged, processed, digitized, cataloged, and described by the Archive Project staff: a team of archivists, dancers, dance notators, digitization specialists, and web developers who worked on the Archive Project between 2016 and 2019, through generous funding from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. 

    The digital archive is hosted on CollectiveAccess, an open-source content management system and relational database that has been utilized by numerous performing arts organizations, museum collections, academic institutions, and artist foundations.
