Stanford University Libraries is seeking a full-time Metadata Archivist to join the Department of Special Collections & University Archives. This is a 3-year fixed term position with potential for renewal. This position is 100% FTE and will be physically located on the Stanford campus. A hybrid schedule may be possible after the first year.
The Metadata Archivist will be an integral member of the Stanford University Archives, and will have primary responsibility for describing digital files across Stanford University Archives collections, both born-digital and digitized, and accessioning those files to the Stanford Digital Repository (SDR). The Metadata Archivist will also play a key role in supporting broader initiatives of the Department and of Stanford Libraries, and in assisting Stanford University administrative offices and academic units in digital file management.
The position is dual-posted at the Librarian 2 and Librarian 3 levels. The expected pay range for this position is $99,395 - $119,658 per year for Librarian 2 and $124,864 - $147,970 per year for Librarian 3.
