NEDCC (nedcc.org) is seeking to hire a team of California-based Emergency Preparedness Consultants to lead "Ready-or Not," a minimum three-year project funded by the California State Library that will conduct emergency preparedness assessments of local archives, historical societies, libraries, museums, and tribal nations to help those entities create written disaster preparedness plans to protect their collections and ensure future public access. These full-time, remote positions are based in California as part of NEDCC's established teleworking program.
Available roles include:
- Outreach and Travel Coordinator (1) – Responsibilities include scheduling travel for the six-member team, maintaining project documentation, and conducting outreach to clients. - Lead Emergency Preparedness Consultant (1) - Responsibilities include training and supervising a team of up to five full-time Emergency Preparedness Consultants. - Emergency Preparedness Consultants (5) - Responsibilities include conducting on-site emergency preparedness consultations and writing assessment reports.
