Connecticut College Library is conducting a national search for a new Linda Lear Librarian for Special Collections and Archives. This is a permanent full-time position and is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional. The successful candidate will join a pedagogically focused department with collection strengths in women's history, environmentalism and conservation, children's literature, artists' books and fine press printing, and more.
This position is responsible for archival processing and primary source instruction using rare book, archival, and art collections. They will take responsibility for one of the department's areas of collection strength, depending on interests and background, helping to acquire materials and promote the collection to faculty, students, and the broader research community. Working with the Director of Special Collections and Archives and the College Archivist, they will identify collections to be prioritized for archival processing. They will also participate in the library's exhibition program.
